Suffering From Success?

A €10 bet can look modest. On a game with a large enough payout multiplier, it can also create the possibility of a well-over-six-figure win.
That makes a casino’s maximum bet limit a funding decision as well as a product setting. The starting point is what an accepted stake could pay, and how much of that payout your business would need to fund.
Nolimit City lists a maximum payout of 66,666 times the base bet for Mental. At a €1 base bet, that corresponds to €66,666. At €10, it becomes €666,660. These are potential payouts calculated from the published multiplier, rather than predictions of a likely win. They show why a stake limit needs to be considered alongside the game it applies to.
Before setting that limit, establish the funding arrangements behind the game. Supplier contracts may affect who funds particular payouts and when settlement occurs. The advertised maximum win identifies a potential payment; your agreement determines the responsibility your casino takes on.
Where the payout scales directly with the base bet, reducing the accepted stake reduces the maximum potential payout. That gives your team a practical way to align the game’s limits with the exposure the business is prepared to support. A single stake limit across the catalogue may produce very different potential payouts from one game to another.
The maximum win does not tell you how frequently large payouts occur, however. Nor does a per-bet limit account for several customers winning around the same time. It is one input to bankroll planning, rather than a complete measure of the funds your operation needs.
Separate payout and withdrawal limits also serve different purposes. A withdrawal limit controls how quickly funds can leave an account; it does not, by itself, reduce winnings already owed. Any payout cap needs to be consistent with the game configuration, your agreements and applicable requirements, and clear to customers before they bet.
For a new game or a review of an existing catalogue, the decision is what stake your casino can accept under the payout and funding arrangements actually in place. Making that decision before play helps your team offer the game with a clear understanding of the exposure behind it.
